Pathology & Blood Tests On Site
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology (SNP) has a pathology collection centre (SNP Buderim North) inside Buderim Family Clinic at Shop 8, 141 Jones Road, Buderim. If your doctor orders blood tests or other pathology, you can have your sample collected close by, often straight after your appointment, without having to travel across town.

On days our collection centre is closed, you can visit SNP at our sister clinic, Sippy Downs Family Clinic (Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm).

Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome for most routine blood tests. You can also book a collection time online with SNP to reduce your wait. Some tests, such as the Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT), have special collection times and should be booked in advance. If you are unsure, call the collection centre on 07 5293 3710.
What to bring
- Your pathology request form (paper or electronic referral) from your doctor
- Your Medicare card, and any concession or DVA card
- A list of your current medications
Preparing for your blood test
- Some tests require fasting. Only fast if your doctor or the request form tells you to, and follow the instructions you are given
- Drink plenty of water before your test unless told otherwise, as it makes blood collection easier
- Keep taking your usual medications unless your doctor has advised you not to
- Wear clothing with sleeves that roll up easily
Costs
Pathology is billed by Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, not by Buderim Family Clinic. SNP will let you know if any out-of-pocket costs apply. For billing questions, please contact SNP directly.
Your results
Your results are sent directly to the doctor who requested the test, usually within a few days. If your results need follow-up, our team will contact you. You are also welcome to book an appointment with your GP at Buderim Family Clinic to discuss your results.
