We are a Private Billing Practice
The Medicare rebate was frozen for many years and the increase in the rebate has been minimal in the past two years. General practice can no longer provide health care services where the average cost of providing these services is more than double the Medicare rebate amount. For our practices to remain viable and accessible to our patients, we can no longer offer bulk billing to any group other than children 15 and under (which is only at the discretion of the Practitioner). We aim to keep providing our community with exceptional care.
We offer three different lengths of appointment, standard, long and prolonged. A standard appointment can address one main medical issue or two minor issues. You may be asked to book again if you have further issues to discuss. For mental health issues, please book a long consultation. A long consultation is for patients with two medical issues to discuss and can address more complex medical problems or mental health issues. A prolonged consultation may be required for taking an extensive patient history, performing a clinical examination or implementing a management plan.
