All of our doctors provide care specifically tailored to meet the needs or our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community and provide culturally appropriate care to our diverse community of patients. Dr Zia is multilingual.

Male Doctors

After graduating from the University of Queensland in 1993 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Dr. Van worked within the Queensland Public Hospital System for 8 years as surgical registrar in wide range of surgical specialties, including: General surgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology, ENT, cardiothoracic, orthopaedics and plastics.

In 2005 he developed a special interest in the removal and treatment of skin cancer, helping to restore the skin and improve the lives of thousands of patients. He has worked a clinic alongside 2 Gold Coast Plastic surgeons for 6 years providing a service to patients who could not afford treatment in the private system but did not want to wait in the public hospital system.

He has worked as a Medical Officer in several Private Emergency Departments for more than 10 years. He has also worked as a cardiac surgical registrar and supervised exercise stress testing.

Dr. Van is passionate about working closely with his patients to ensure complete openness and transparency, and treats every new procedure as a team effort between the patient and himself.

Professional statement

Dr Arash completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2006 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2015. Dr Arash has a special interest in maternity care, paediatrics, chronic conditions, mental health, skin checks and minor procedures. Dr Arash is fluent in Farsi.

Female Doctors

Dr Cielo Marquez-Doyle has over 10 years’ experience in medical practice in the Philippines and Australia, covering a range of clinical roles and settings from primary care through to tertiary hospitals. Over the years, she has gained skills in managing all facets of General Practice and holds a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has also worked in Emergency Medicine in hospitals in Queensland and Victoria. She has work experience in Occupational Health and Aboriginal Health.

She just recently moved from Mount Isa and has been a familiar face in the community for the past 8 years.

When she is not working, Cielo loves travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Dr Davidson qualified in the UK in 2012. She worked in the UK for several years before moving to Australia to complete her rural GP training. She splits her time between anaesthetics in Gympie and the Sunshine coast. She has recently moved from South Australia to the Sunshine Coast. Dr Davidson is able to manage all GP presentations. She has a keen interest in Chronic disease management including diabetes and heart disease. She is also interested in Child and Women’s health and the health of the older people. In her spare time Dr Davidson enjoys regular scuba diving, running and hiking.
